The 300 Norma requires the same XL-sized action as the 338 Lapua Mag because of its large cartridge case and it recoils more than the 300 PRC. A lot of guys use the Norma 338 Lapua brass to work up loads because it shows signs of pressure sooner and then switch to Lapua. brand brass for the long haul. The Lapua and Lapua improved all have a reputation for being accurate and faster with the big bullets. so my choice would be the Lapua. Just my opinion.Prob the most accurate of them all, more then enough power for elk. More of a push then a snap recoil. The 30 378 has a little more horse power but it beats you up. Easy to load for and 30 cal always has the hottest new bullets when something new pops up. You should get 1000 rounds +\- of accurate barrel life.
