Is staccato worth it.

I have a Staccato C dpo with the Dawson optic plate for the RMRCC. I need to swap the front carry sized sight for a proper co witness. My Staccato P dpo came with tactical front sights and my trijicon RMR co witness was right on with the Dawson optic plate. It is much more durable than painted on finishes like cerakote. I have a P DUO that has many rounds through it at this time and the only major wear I have seen is on the screws and magwell which I do not believe are DLC'd.

I already knew that liked the way the 2011 shot, so I chose the Staccato. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.

It depends how patient you are or how badly you need the gun. I would anticipate waiting at least 3-4 months for your gun to ship if you don't use the fast track option. If you don't want to wait that long and have the cash to spend, then it would be worth it.

For me I got a DLC barrel and love it. The less wear isn’t the only benefit. It’s smoother all around which makes a difference with these tight tolerances. If you had to guesstimate a % how much would you say. I couldn’t give you an exact percentage but at $100, I think it’s worth it.

Both the chunk port/genghis comp and the ports are fun to shoot. Just depends on what you're looking for. The monsoon port will feel softer to the shooter where the stacc-ports are more a progressive feel which tracks faster when compare to my Omni (which feels similar to the chunk port).
