I also own a Kent Trouvaille which is twice the price and spending hundreds more to convert it to dedicated commuter. I'm adding things like an Iberra rack, city tires, panniers, an air fork as well as all 3 points of contact ie Ergon Grips, seat and pedals. The Kent Trouvaille and Ozark Trail (also from Kent) have better geometry and 1x drivetrains (with bad rear derailleurs, but that is a cheap fix/upgrade). They also have pretty good tires.
