Alaska. This. Not only is Alaska the best battlecruiser, but it's also a solid contender for the title of best ship in the game. It's the best brawling USN BB. It's the best radar cruiser. It is so many things. If you don't know what a battlecruiser is general thing a cruiser with 10" (~250mm)+ main guns.

AP pen is insane for T6, absolutely shits on bbs. B tier Perth, Rahmat, Mysore, Leander. Bring smoke, bring DPM. Bring hydro. Shit on DDs. C tier if you don't have any of the above and want to play a cruiser, I would say Nurnberg, Trento, Dallas, or Aoba are playable. Battleships: Great tier for battleships.

At T8 you can either go for North Carolina/Iowa/Montana for historical ships that are faster, or you can go Kansas/Minnesota/Vermont for ships that continue the low-speed, high-armor, high-damage trend.
