While the Boox Note Air2 Plus has adjustable warm and cool lights, this one is meant to mimic paper, so the designers have kept it true to form with no lighting. I have both and the Boox 3C writes just as well as the Remarkable. The Remarkable has a much easier UI, file structure and the ability to see what is on your Remarkable on other devices is seamless. The Boox does more and is more customizable.
