The dexcom value should be within 10% of the bg. I usually only calibrate once per insertion around 6-8 hours after starting. That's only because the value has slipped outside of 10% and I haven't eaten. If it's within the 10%, don't do it. 10 points off is pretty normal. Very interesting.
