With buttons you have to look at it to make sure you poke in the right spot for the position or hold your poke for up or down. The lever is much nicer in use. And bluetooth connectivity is pointless gimmick imo. The apex pro is awesome. I just built mine with a maple butcher block from home depot. It is very sturdy, even on carpet. I highly recommend it.
