Spectro is great for the transmission. My HD dealership said if you run Spectro in the tranny, you only need to change it every 3 years, if Formula + then change it once every year. The Formula + in the primary, change every other oil change. If you're ever going to get a leak from the primary Synthetic will find it.

The bike is an 08 Ultra Classic which I like very much. The book says four quarts for oil and filter. Yet, they tell you to only put 3.5 quarts in and check it.

I've found that it is not enough, 32oz (1 litre) will fill the twincam primary to the proper level on my '05 softail. You can actually use almost any oil in the primary as long as it does not contain friction modifiers.
