Don't know why they felt the need to list that as a separate item. Anyway, total value of the deal was just over $500 including tax (PA, 6%) I'm 62 and never in my life had a fuel sensor fail in my life .

Unfortunately, on your vehicle, the level sensor is built into and part of the Fuel Pump Sender Assembly, located inside the fuel tank. If/When the level sensor fails, the pump assembly as a whole will need to be replaced. The level sensor is not a stand-alone, serviceable item.
