i think playing that encounter with 2 or 3 people, even though it obviously scales a bit, would do wonders to take some aggro off of you as a solo player and that would simplify it quite a bit. but having a few dozen enemies constantly spawning in and shooting at you everytime you spawn made this rather rough.
Using reaper and a siphon for a special weapon you can get multi kills with worked great. Then get urself some resistance with armor charge active, some concussive dampeners and a void or arc resist. Make that armor charge last as long as possible with the extension timer mods.
