Chances are, it will be difficult to access with the carb in place. Sometimes you can get by with rotating it after loosening the clamps. D.

A 2004 450FM/ES transmission will not interchange. The 500 Rubicon you have is basically a Hydrostatic Pump that needs oil pressure. As where the 450 is a clutch with a shift drum. Check the oil pressure. Make sure there enough oil in it.
