Your best bet if you want this Armor is to spend a lot of time in the Giant of Babil stealing Alerts from Searchers. These make it much easier to find the PinkPuffs that will (very rarely) drop the Pink Tail you need.

Seems like basic math--8th monster formation, 1/64 chance, 4th item slot, 1/64 drop. But is it? Firstly, is the 8th monster formation slot really a 1-in-64 experience?Keep killing and reviving for 1 hour. Every KO increases your chance of obtaining a Pink Tail. I.e. you may be able to increase the outcome to 10/64. Remember, Rydia= Death, Rosa= Life and TOAD will lower their attack power.
