If neither has power with the ignition on then check the fuses. If one does have power then jump it to the other. If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan. If there is power, the fan is no good. I would suggest putting in the oil return into the rear cylinder like a lot of people have. But you might be able to get away with just plugging the hole in the airbox that the crank vent goes to.. And extending the vent line. With the longer line, there might not be enough pressure to push it that far.
