For me a $1000+ yote gun is insane. Savage axis, th xp, weatherby vanguard s2, tikka lite, ruger american/predator are all good choices. The savage precision comes with a heavy barrel. I don't have any experience with the Ruger but my Savage Axis 2 with the hardwood stock in 22-250 shoots good. I've killed prairie dogs and jackrabbits out to 400 yards with it. My buddy has the one with the synthetic stock in .223 and it shoots good.
