Stuff like will o wisp, gasoline, as opposed to mtg missiles, bleed, etc. You don't attack often enough as artificer to get any worth out of on hit. So go all in on on kill, so that you can start a massive proc chain. If you rely on dodging most of the attacks, transcendence can prevent you from dying in one/two hits later in the game. You can also use it to help counter the effects of shaped glass.
