Aug 21, 2023 · All the dual wielding feat does is give you +1 to your AC, which could be nice, and it lets you dual wield bigger weapons, which aren't that great because none of them would really be monk weapons. So I mean, yes you CAN dual wield, but it's not really better than using unarmed strikes with your bonus action.

Yes but missing 1 attack in dual wielding ang you're gone for the turn, doing 3 attacks with dual weapons and you still have 2 attacks doind damage when one of the three has been missed. You can dual wield finesse light weapons and dual wield hand crossbows which make them very good at melee and range while having very good AC. The problem is you kinda want 3 levels of rogue / thief to get a extra bonus action for your offhand.

21 damage times 3 attacks is 63 damage or 84 if GWF triggers for an additional attack. With Haste its 126 damage or 147 if Greater Weapon Fighting triggers. That is a huge difference in damage potentials and Two-Handed weapons appear to wipe the floor with Two Dual Wielding. But it doesn’t quite tell the whole story.
Its hard to go wrong with the Barbarian class rn. Dual-wielding doesn't have a lot of synergy with the class, but you'll still be strong just because you are a Barbarian. Unless you are building a Strength based Rogue, then "Great Weapon Master" is pointless. You need to stick with "Finesse" weapons for Dex build, so dual wielding.
