Browning a5 problems.

I talked to Art ages ago when I picked up a shooter grade 16 from the 30's. He said that to properly convert a 2 9/16" gun to 2 3/4" is more expensive than most of them are worth. If you had a high grade 2 9/16" gun, the conversion would wreck the value. Converting just the barrel is possible, but I wouldn't.FWIW. First, grip the gun firmly, that can make a big difference on marginal recoil loads. Lubing the mag tube will help, polishing it may do the trick. Polish the chamber with some 0000 steel wool wrapped around a bore brush and an electric drill. These 2 things will probably cure the problem.

I have a new A5 12 gauge that was purchased in September 2015. After filling the magazine with 2 3/4" or 3" and even 3 1/2" when the shell release button is pressed often times the shell will not enter the chamber. It's not a cleaning problem. It's been taken apart many times. The shell release lever does not pass by the incoming shell.
