I have a 2003 FX45 and was having the same problems. I researched the problem and determined that it was a part called the AC Amplifier that went bad. It is a common starter problem for the FX. I ordered the part online for $330, changed the battery and everything was good after that. Like.Replacing the valve body should resolve this.
