I used to have severe bacne when I was in eighth grade. Most of it has subsided now except the occasional one but it's mostly good. However the acne scars haven't gone yet and they look extremely ugly. They are mostly on my shoulders, and some have extended to my arms as well. Any help is appreciated.

Spray salicylic acid or Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner on your back after showering. Something to remember, many many many people have had or know someone who has bacne. Most people may recognize the scars but will immediately think “oh man that sucks they had to deal with that crap too glad it’s over for them” rather than judge you for it.Plus, the scar away gel and the other gel ended up making the scars really itch. I also have used scar sheets, but I don’t think they work that well and they don’t really stick that well besides certain areas cuz of friction against the sheets. Any advice for getting rid of them? Microneedling, chemical peels, and lasers are some of the recommended treatments. For the scars like the ones shown in the reference image could use a combination of more than one treatments. Imo the scars don't look mild enough to be treated by chemical peels alone. Then I apply 10% benzoyl peroxide wash all over my back and leave it on for several minutes. I usually brush my teeth, shave, whatever during this time. Then once a day I wipe my back with a stridex pad. For the first 2 weeks my back was pretty dry and itchy. But I pushed through and now it’s very clear!

Stop smoking if you smoke - your skin doesn’t heal as well when you smoke, especially as you age. Understand that some scars will never fade without laser resurfacing. Remember - no one has perfect skin and most likely won’t see your scars the way you do.
