Shooting cci sv (and 2 other brands) it fires, ejects case, loads a round,, then on second shot a failure to fire, then very difficult to extract by hand. Disassembled and did complete clean. Removed carbon ring in chamber (Kroil, c4) and cleaned barrel.The 552 is still in production..Order the screw from Remington. Then either order a thread checker gauge/plate from brownells or carry it to a gunsmith that has one..Once you have determined the pitch and diameter you can then match it to the correct tap and die. I don't think the bolt style changed a bit over the production run of the model 552. Remington and Numrich list only one part number for the bolt and another part number for the bolt assembly which is just the same bolt with the extractor and associated parts installed. Also John Gyde in his book doesn't mention any change in the action parts.
