Ehx freeze or Mood are good for creating pads underneath. Mood also has delay, reverb and a slip mode which are great. Boss sy1 or sy200 are great for synth sounds and pads too with its hold option. I’ve owned several boss, ehx and MXR sub octave pedal. The pog will track better, but sound kind of synth-y, the boss didn’t track well at all imo and the MXR have decent tracking and sound very natural and analog. The newer MXRs don’t sound nearly as good or track as well as the early 2000’s sub octave I found on eBay.

A thing I want you to try is to put the reverb and delay in the amp's FX loop. This ensures your time based effects are after the amp's gain stages AND the amp's chorus.
