For up to 1-1/8 ounce 12 gauge loads you have many choices. I have used Titewad, e3, and clays with good results up to 1250 fps with 1-1/8 ounce loadings. Longshot is also good for higher performance loads. I have used unique and red dot too. Good powders but the Hodgdon offerings work better for me. Hope this helps-John

Well, I'm not going to agree with this. The Hornady bushing chart shows a #408 drops 17 gr. of Titewad while a #453 drops 17 gr. of Red Dot. Titewad is significantly denser than red Dot, despite what you find. And I don't know what you mean by "Only small doses of that powder are reccomended." I use what the published data recommends.

Thats always a good call. You need the TGT12 wad with titegroup .15.5gr should get you there I don’t use bushings but #15 should be close I load 16.0 and get 1145fps. Hodgdon shows a load with rem fig 8 wad, and rem209 or winchester209 primers. The reloading manual I got with my MEC shows a 15 or 16 bushing would work.
